Barclaycard has launched a new mobile banking service, an extension of its online servicing platform mybarclaycard.
Through the new mobile banking channel, customers can access their accounts, check their balance and view payment or transaction history at any time by accessing the site through their mobile browser.
In addition, the site integrates with the Barclaycard Freedom loyalty scheme to provide access to the latest offers from nearby retailers, using the geo-location technology.
Customers can access the new site by using their same login details of their mybarclaycard account.
Barclaycard Consumer Europe CEO David Chan said that this mobile service allows customers the flexibility and convenience to manage their finances whenever and wherever they choose.
"The service is a further realization of Barclaycard's commitment to provide mainstream mobile banking services by 2012," Chan said.source
